I'm guessing if you're here, you're just as interested in Data science as I am. Well, first a little bit about me, I'm a college student from Evanston, Illinois, with a passion for data science and data collection in both professional and personal projects. I'm the type of person who dives straight into any new interest, trying to learn anything and everything there is to know about it (just ask my sister!).
Anyways, I created this site to share global applications of data science as well as any of my own evolving interests--the things I'm currently "collecting data" on. Data science is an interdisciplinary field that can seem very intimidating from the outside, but my goal here isn't to be an expert. Instead, this platform is a space to explore, learn, and share my interests in the field with others at any level of experience.
Global Data In Action was created for the purpose of making it easier for people to understand where communities around the world face critical shortages in resources like clean water, electricity, food, and healthcare—and to connect visitors with trustworthy organizations working to address these needs both globally and locally. On this website, you can find links to organizations working with many countries globally based on information collected through data science. In some cases, we may use affiliate or referral links to support the cost of maintaining the site.
